We are a small family operation in Cajun Country. A few years ago my wife and I were interested in a Hog trap. After searching online and seeing what was out there and the price that was being asked for them was just overwhelming.
I looked into material prices and we decided to build one ourself. Once the trap was complete we posted pictures as we were proud of our work. That’s when we started to get request from other people wanting a trap. And that’s how we got started.
Our traps are built with 1 1/2” x 1/8”Angle iron. We have 3 reasons we chose angle iron over squared tubing.
1- Angle iron can be maintained. Squared tubing cannot as it’s impossible to maintain the inside of squared tubing. Even if you cap the ends condensation will still occur in the ID of the tubing and rot out from the inside out.
2-Angle iron is flexible. When a pig or pigs hit the panels they flex out and come right back in place.
3- By using angle iron each corner of a panel has 6 welds as well as the middle brace on the panel.
Our design also gives you the confidence that when you drop the gate pigs cannot escape by jumping or going over the top. The top of our trap has 15” that has a 45 degree angle facing into the trap. We give our customers 100% support once they purchase a trap from us. We give a 5 year warranty if any welds break on our traps. We give a one year warranty on the electronics. Our electronics we purchase from Mr. Jon Neeley which is an awesome guy who will support you 100% if any issues arise. You also have the option to purchase the electronics yourself if you wish to as we don’t make any profits on electronics. We have our standard builds that we do our best to keep in stock are you can custom order a build you like.
